- One drawing entitled "Str. [Steamer] No. 66, Full Size Section of Stem Showing Rabbet." The drawing consists of black ink on linen and shows a cross-section detail of the stem for the proposed vessel. The drawing was prepared by the Craig Ship Building Company of Toledo, Ohio. It is shown at full size scale and is dated June 11, 1894. Handwritten text within a blue stamp near the lower edge shows "New Drawing No. Tol. 66-S-11-8-2, Tube No. 2."

- One navigational chart entitled, "Lake Superior Chart No. 1" that was compiled and published as part of the Survey of the Northern and Northwestern Lakes (War Department, Corps of Engineers). It was "projected from a Trigonometrical Survey" that was executed under the orders of Lt. Col. W. F. Raynolds and Major C. B. Comstock of the Corps of Engineers as well as from local surveys done by Capt. J. N. Macomb, Capt. G. G. Meade, and Col. J. D. Graham of the Corps of Engineers. The chart is drawn at a scale of 1:400,000 and shows the eastern end of Lake Superior from Grand Island to White Fish Bay, Michigan. Land areas are shaded in various gray textures based upon existing land characteristics. Lake areas are shown in white. Distances are given in statute miles. Soundings for lake depths are given in feet and fathoms. Lines of latitude and longitude are shown in black. Lighthouses are also shown along with notes for sailing directions, dangers and water level data. The chart was originally published in 1872, but a note indicates that aids to navigation have been corrected to January 1, 1880. An adhesive label in the upper left corner shows "Detroit, Mar. 5th, 1884, Presented to the Tug, Chas. E. Bird."

- One blueprint drawing entitled, "General Arrangement of Sprinkler System," for the passenger steamships, SS Greater Detroit and SS Greater Buffalo. The drawing shows plan views of the Orlop, Texas, and Pilothouse decks along with the proposed layouts of sprinkler lines and sprinkler heads. The title block in the lower right corner shows that the drawing was prepared by the "American Shipb'ld'g Co., Eng. [Engineering] Dept." at a scale of 1/8 inch = 1 foot and is dated October 31, 1923. The plan number is shown as "65-199."

- One drawing entitled "Survey of Northern and Northwestern Lakes, Design of Intersection Protractor." Notes beneath the title indicate that the protractor was "Made under the direction of Major W. L. Fisk, Corps of Engineers, U.S.A., and E. E. Haskell, Prin. Asst. Engineer, by Murray Blanchard, Junior Engineer." The plan is drawn in black ink on linen and is dated April, 1904. The drawing was prepared at full scale and shows plan, profile, and cross-section views for the design of a protractor which was used for drawing lake survey charts. Additional notes at the bottom of the title block give the following specifications: "Make bar of steel, graduated arcs of German silver, and other parts of brass. Protractor arms to be nickel plated. Graduate protractors to 1/2 degree and verniers to 1 minute."

- One plan sheet showing "Lines" for the Erie Railroad Transit Company tugboat, FREDERICK U. ROBBINS. The drawing consists of black ink on linen and shows profile and cross section lines for the hull of the proposed tugboat. The title block in the lower right corner shows that the drawing was prepared by the "Manitowoc Ship Building & Dry Dock Co." at a scale of 3/8 inch = 1 foot and is dated February 13, 1913. The plan number is shown as "5076."

- One booklet entitled "Description and Use of the Equatorial Sextant" by William A. Burt of "Detroit, Jan. 1st, 1858." The booklet has a plain, light green paper cover. The 11 interior pages are printed in black text on yellowed paper. The text describes the use and operation of the equatorial sextant which was patented by William A. Burt on November 4, 1856 (Patent number 16,002).

- One blueprint drawing entitled "Sketch of Light House Depot." The drawing was prepared at a scale of 1 inch = 50 feet and shows the location of the existing Light House Depot store house building and dock at the foot of Mt. Elliot [Elliott] Avenue in Detroit. A new dock, boat slip, and store house building are also shown. Handwritten text in the lower right corner of the sheet shows "No. 285. Forwarded to L.H. Board with letter of November 21, 1870," and is signed by "O. M. Poe, Engr. 11th L.H. Dist."

- One plan sheet entitled, "Deck House Roof." The drawing consists of black ink on linen and shows a plan view of upper deck of Army Corps of Engineers tugboat, Manitowoc. The title block in the lower right corner shows that the drawing (Hull No. 30) was prepared by the "Manitowoc Dry Dock Company" at a scale of 3/8 inch = 1 foot and is dated March 10, 1909. The plan number is shown as "5022."

The drawing consists of black ink on linen and shows a starboard side interior profile view of the ship and a plan view of the main deck. Existing cargo hatches on the main deck have been shaded gray in order to show the enlarged location of the proposed new hatches. The title block in the lower right corner shows that the drawing was prepared by "Manitowoc Ship Building & Dry Dock Co." at a scale of 1/16 inch = 1 foot and is dated November 27, 1914. The drawing number is shown as "2397."

- Two blueprints showing profile and cross section views of the sidewheel steamship, City of Toledo. The blueprints are negative images with the drawing line work and text shown in white on a dark gray background. The profile sheet shows a port side view of the steamship with printed text which indicates that it was "Built by the Craig Shipbuilding Company, Toledo, O., 1890." A table in the upper left corner gives the vessel dimensions as "Length O.A. [Overall] 220 F.; Length Water [Waterline] 210 F.; Beam 31 F.; Beam O.A. 58 F.; Depth 12 F. 6." A table in the upper right corner gives the engine specifications as "Engine Triple Exp. [Expansion], 26"-48"-66"x72" Stroke; Two Boilers: Length 21 F., Dia. 11 F., Steam 160 lbs., Speed 20 Miles." A stamped label and text in the lower right corner shows "New Drawing No. Tol. 45-59-0-1, Tube No. 1" and " Str. No. 45, No. 34." The cross section sheet show a half-section view of the vessel with dimensions and details of the sidewheel. Printed text at the top shows "Crossection of Str. No. 45, Craig Ship Bldg. Co., Toledo, G. C. Craig" and "Oct. 17 - 1890, Scale 1/2" = 1'." A stamped label and text in the lower right corner shows "New Drawing No. Tol. 45- 511-11-1, Tube No. 1" and " Str. No. 45, No. 4-1."
