- Telegram from the Western Union Telegraph Company, Huron Depot, Ohio, dated 11:07 am, June 23, 1886, to William R. Soutar. The telegram form is printed in black text on yellowed paper and has a message that is handwritten in ink that reads "Hale [barge] left in the night some time. O. C. Stedman."

- One blueprint drawing entitled, "Stmr. [Steamer] No. 116, Lines." The drawing shows the hull lines for the passenger steamship, Ste. Claire. The title block in the lower right corner shows that the drawing was prepared by "The Toledo Shipbuilding Co.," at a scale of 1/4 inch = 1 foot and is dated November, 1909. The plan number is shown as "1-2." An ink stamp above the title block shows "New Drawing No.: Tol. 116-55-0-2, Tube No. 1."

- One plan sheet entitled, "Construction Draft of Strs. 59/60 for Ft.& P.M. [Flint & Pere Marquette] R.R. Co." The drawing consists of red, black, and blue ink on linen and shows a port side interior profile view of the proposed wooden-hulled, propeller-driven, passenger steamships. The plan was prepared at a scale of 1/4 inch = 1 foot by Frank E. Kirby for the Detroit Dry Dock Company and is dated March, 1882. (Steamer numbers 59 and 60 were the Detroit Dry Dock hull numbers for the passenger steamships that were known as F.&P.M. No. 1 and F.&P.M. No. 2, respectively.)
