Color postcard depicting an elevated view of W Fort Street, facing west from Woodward Avenue. In view are many pedestrians, the Bagley Memorial Fountain, Hammond Building, Post Office, and City Hall. Signs read "Pere Marquette", "Canadian Pacific", and "D & C Lines". Printed on verso: Fort Street West is one of the leading business thoroughfares of Detroit. It connects the heart of the city with the immense manufacturing establishments in Delray. Cars leave its foot of Woodward Avenue for Woodmere, the Fort Wayne Barracks, Delray, Ecorse, Wyandotte, Trenton, Monroe, and Toledo. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Sep 6, 1909.
