- Color postcard depicting an elevated view of Woodward Avenue, facing northwest from Jefferson Avenue. In the background are the Ford Building, Dime Building, and Majestic Building. In view are signs reading "Queen Anne Soap" and "Hotel Wilson", and streetcars. Printed on verso: Woodward Avenue enjoys the unusual distinction of being both Detroit's leading busness and res'dence street. It is named in honor of Judge Woodward, one of Detroit's foremost citizens in the pioneer days, and stretches approximately north and south. At the foot are the ferry docks where boats leave regularly for Windsor, Ont., Belle Isle and Bois Blanc Island. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Jul, 1918.
