- Black and white photographic print on slightly beige paper depicting the corner of Griswold Street and West Fort Street as viewed facing south, taken during the 1891 National Encampment of the Grand Army of the Republic in Detroit. The Hammond Building is on the left edge of the frame, and is wrapped in banners, hung with flags, and has a portrait of Ulysses S. Grant hung just above street level. The Moffat Building is also wrapped in banners and has a large "welcome" banner that is hung above its entrance. On the far right side of the image, a portion of one of the triumphal arches erected during the encampment is visible. Pedestrians, a pair of horse carriages, and a horse-drawn streetcar marked "Boulevard and Fort Wayne" are in the foreground.

- Color postcard depicting an elevated view of the Dime Building on the corner of Griswold and West Fort Streets. Printed on verso: Dime Bank Bldg., Detroit, Mich. The Dime Savings Bank Bldg., Cor. Of Fort St West and Griswold St. is erected on the site formerly occupied by the Walker Bldg. For many years a Baptists church occupied this plot. This is one of the finest skyscrapers in the country, of ornate design and twenty-two stories in height. The building cost $1,500,000. Pub. by United News Corp, Detroit, Mich. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Aug 12, 1913.

Pedestrians are visible walking across Woodward Avenue, as well as along the neighboring sidewalk. Horse carriages, automobiles, and a street car are visibly parked or moving down the thoroughfare. Road construction is occurring in front of Brown's Drug Store on Woodward in the central right foreground. The Pontchartrain Hotel is visible in the background adjacent to the commercial block along Woodward. Commercial businesses include Misfit; Louis Sheneider; and The T.S. Sayl Company.

- Black and white photo of City Hall and the Majestic Building as taken from a window of the Russell House to the southeast. Woodmere, Brush, and Woodward line streetcars are in Campus Martius, including cars 386 and 290. A horse-drawn cart carrying several large potted ferns is on Ford Street beside City Hall's lawn. Several horse-drawn carriages are on Woodward in front of City Hall. A man in a white suit picks up horse droppings in the intersection of Woodward and Ford using a large scoop and a shovel. A moonlight tower stands on the south corner of Woodward and Michigan Avenue. Signs for C.A. Shafer are posted on the side of the Majestic Building. A mimeographed caption is on the verso, along with an impression of a photo of William C. Maybury: This picture was taken in the central business portion of the city of Detroit from a window of a hotel known as the Russell House.. The hotel is situated on the South East corner of Woodward Avenue and Cadillac Square. The photograph is made from a negative taken in the fall of 1900 and is a fairly good representation of exterior photography, at this date. The photograph was made by C.M. Hayes and Co., a firm engaged in general photography.

- Colorized halftone print of a photograph depicting the west side of Campus Martius, as viewed from an elevated position, likely from the Pontchartrain Hotel. The primary copy has bolder colors and is mounted on beige cardstock. The secondary copy has lighter colors, and includes the title, "'The Heart of Detroit' - Reproduced from Photograph," as well as the notation, " Jos. Mack, Printer, Detroit." Both versions include captions below labeling the Post Office, City Hall, Pardridge and Blackwell in the Majestic Building, the Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, Merrill Fountain, and the Opera House. A sign reading, "Welcome National Hay Association" is posted on the front of City Hall. The moonlight tower in front of City Hall on the corner of Woodward Avenue and Michigan Avenue is visible. Electric streetcars, horse-drawn carriages, and pedestrians are on the streets below. "1902-1903" handwritten on lower right corner of secondary copy, and "Fine Cigars and Tobacco, Confectionary, Soft Drinks, and School Supplies, Etc., 528 Dix Ave. Detroit, Mich." stamped on its verso.

The Lincoln Park Hardware and McManus Drug Co. buildings can be seen at the far left side of the photo. A typewritten label on the verso shows "Cor. Fort & State, 1925."
