- The parade float appears to represent mountainous terrain, with a bit of a broken brick building mounted on top. A sign on the partial building says “A chemin des dames”. A large shield is mounted midway along the float with these words: "American Legion, Carry On." Behind the float is a billboard of the G.R. Advertising Co., of which only the top half can be seen.
