The booklet is bound in a green paper cover with a oval-shaped cut out in the center behind which is a photo of the building on the first page. Cover also has a border with a flower motif on the right and left sides. Within in the book are descriptions and photos of the association's facilities both athletic and educational, as well as information about joining. An advertisement for Gage and Fischer life insurance is on the back cover.

Also included are a fold-out plan of the Public Lighting Plant on Atwater Street, which omits the proposed storefront space, a picture of McGraw Avenue east of Grand River well lit at midnight, and a fold-out chart of expenses from 1901 to 1915.

The features a header reading "A Happy [1877] New Year" at the top, "Detroit Free Press" in the center, and "Carriers' Address." at the bottom, all surrounded by a decorative blue and red border. The first page reads "New Year's Greeting of The Detroit Free Press Carrier Boys. 1877." The following seven pages contain the text of the address. The address is written as a poem, and each page features a stanza, with each stanza surrounded by a decorative black border. The booklet is bound by string.

Within is a description of his organization, an article entitled, "Nervous Debility, The Cause of Premature Old Age, Physical and Metal Imbicility, Etc.," which pins the titular afflictions on "the vice of self-indulgence," and several pages of testimonials from people who claim to have been cured of such issues by the group. The booklet also includes engravings depicting Kergan, the offices of the U.S. Medical And Surgical Association of Detroit on Griswold Street and Michigan Avenue, and the River Park Sanitarium in Wyandotte.
