- Description:
- This is a collection of material from the Lansing Fortnightly Literary Club, a women's club in Lansing that was in existence from 1896 or 1897 to 1990. The collection consists mostly of annual yearbooks which list officer and member names, the program schedule for the year, and sometimes the constitution and by-laws. A few clippings and special event materials are also included. A newspaper article marking the 90th birthday of the club notes that the first meeting was held on February 13, 1896. Several of the annual yearbooks state that the club was organized on February 14, 1896, and federated in 1897.
