The state capitol dome can be seen in the distance. A fragment of this photograph has also been printed on the back cover of the booklet "Lansing Fire Department: Dedicated to the Saving of Life and Property" which was published in approximately 1950. The brochure credits George Beak, Communications Division, and Frank Mainville, Press Photographer, for the photographs in the booklet.
