A stage in front of a replica of the Statue of Liberty is filled with empty chairs, and several people stand around the square. The base of the statue reads "They Died For Liberty" followed by a list of names. In the background are the County Building and a sign reading "Schroeder Paint & Glass Co." Printed on recto: L. - Two photographic prints mounted to opposite sides of the same oval-shaped board. Recto bears a sepia-toned photo of City Hall Market, an open-air marked filled with booths, horses, and carts set up behind the City Hall that was in service until 1872, in the present site of Cadillac Square. A sign for "Provisions" is visible along the storefronts on the left side of the picture. A man, three children, a dog, and a horse and a cart are in the middle ground. A woman with a parasol, and a fence or railing that reads, "Hanging 102" is in the foreground. Verso bears a hand-colorized portrait of a seated woman in a purple dress, with white sleeves and a collar. Her hair is pulled back into a chignon and she wears a cross around her neck.

- Colorized photograph showing a view of Cadillac Square. The elevated view looks westward toward Campus Martius and shows the Detroit Central Farmers Market in the foreground along with a busy street scene of horse-drawn wagons and pedestrians. The Central Market Building (with twin towers) can be seen in the center left background area and was built on the site of the old Old City Hall building that was torn down in 1872. The Old City Hall building (with singel tower), dedicated in 1871, can be seen in the upper left corner area of the photo.

- Small sepia-toned photographic print incorrectly captioned on verso as "Cadillac Square, looking west, March 10th, 1918" which in fact depicts a street-level westward view from Campus Martius down Michigan Avenue. Snow covers the ground. The low light from a sunset silhouettes both the figures in coats and hats which approach the camera and the Majestic Building on the right, as well as creates a flare effect in the center of the image. A large sign, the visible portion reading, "Join... for" is posted on the Majestic Building on the right edge of the frame. City Hall, and the Recreation Building are in the background.

- Half-tone print of an artistic rendition of a bird's-eye view of Detroit in 1908, and a black and white photographic print of it hung on a wood-paneled wall. The caption above the image reads, "Detroit 1908-Same Area As View Above." Below the image, "What Detroit has accomplished in the past, is the best evidence of its future prosperity" is printed. The pictured print depicts downtown Detroit, and areas to the west, rough from Fourth Street to Raynor Street, and State Street to the Detroit River. Visible landmarks include the Wayne County Building, Cadillac Square, Campus Martius, the Majestic Building, City Hall, the Pontchartrain Hotel, the Post Office at Fort and Shelby, and the Ford Building. Several steamships, including those of the Detroit and Cleveland Navigation Company, the COLUMBIA, and the LANSDOWNE are pictured at dock or under steam.
