- A mounted, glossy, sepia-toned photographic print of the "Launch of Fireboat James Battle," as titled at the lower left corner. The fire tug, stern facing the camera, is being side-launched and is kicking up a splash at Wyandotte's Detroit Shipbuilding Company. Crowds are visible along the sides of the dock, as well as on the roof of a structure in the foreground. A sailor, adjusting his footing, is on the deck of the JAMES BATTLE. "Detroit Photographic Co." is written in the lower right corner of the print. "With compliments of Wm. Cason," handwritten on verso. Matting is green cardstock.

- Color postcard depicting the JUNIATA docked along the riverfront. A sign reads "Buhl Sons Co - Iron and Steel". Several man line the dock. Printed on verso: Steamer Juniata is a passenger and freight steamer, owned by the Anchor Line and plies between Buffalo and Duluth. The scene is one showing the vessel at the company's wharf in Detroit. Postmarked Apr 14, 1917.

- Typewritten letter sent to Thomas E. Clark of the Electric Service and Appliance Company of 166 Randolph Street from T. Marshall, the general freight and passenger agent of the Lake Erie and Detroit River Railway on July 4, 1902. Marshall expresses that he was impressed with the demonstration of Clark's wireless telegraph during his recent visit to Clark's office. He is interested in testing the system with the Lake Erie and Detroit River Railway railroad car ferry SHENANGO. Marshall closes with his signature. The letter is printed on Lake Erie and Detroit River Railway, Traffic Department letterhead.

- Invitation to the Sixth Annual Ball of the Marine Engineers' Association held at Phoenix Hall on January 14, 1880. The invitation was printed in blue and gold on beige paper by W.S. Ostler of 66 Griswold Street. A sidewheel paddle boat is printed on the front, and images of a woman holding an umbrella and fanning herself and an array of large leaves in a planter are inside.
