- Located at 702 W Allegan St. On reverse: "Michigan Library & Historical Center, dedicated March 7, 1989, houses the Michigan Historical Museum, State Archives, Office of the Great Seal and the Library of Michigan. A center courtyard features a Michigan white pine tree surrounded by walls of granite, limestone and copper".

- Dedicated in 1959. The center was located at 600 Auditorium Road, and contained classrooms and lecture space for the Department of Art, Art History, and Design. It housed the Kresge Art Museum until it was replaced by the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum in 2012.

- The Michigan Historical Commission Museum at 505 North Washington Avenue. Originally a home built in the style of George Washington's Mt. Vernon in 1927 for Mrs. James M. Turner. The home was purchased by the state upon her death in 1942 and the museum opened formally there in 1944.
