Description:
This straight, pinkish beige jersey women's evening coat has elaborate pink and gold braid trim. There is a small, high double turnover collar suggestive of a mandarin. The coat has a one button closing, and a beige lining. Label: "D. J. Healy Shops, Detroit."

162. Black and white check cotton maternity dress from the 1920s

Description:
Woman's black and white check cotton, maternity dress. It has elbow-length sleeves trimmed with attached cuffs of white barred lawn that have embroidered black yarn dots, two rows of hemstitching, and are piped with the black and white cotton. An attached half belt snaps in front. The dress has a patch pocket on each side of the skirt front. Each pocket is trimmed with a flap similar to the cuffs and collar. Label: The Matinee.

This woman's coat has knit strips of white wool yarn and white silk floss. The collar and cuffs are of white chenille with flowers of white chenille edged with grey chenille. There is one button at the lower left front. Label: "Pack-Wolin, Detroit."

Cream cut velvet evening wrap with cream ostrich feather trim on the sleeves, which was owned by Matilda Dodge Wilson (October 19, 1883 – September 19, 1967),who was the wife of John Francis Dodge (October 25, 1864 – January 14, 1920), co-founder of the Dodge Motor Car Company in Detroit, Michigan.

165. Silk crepe cocktail dress with jacket from the 1940s

Description:
Woman's silk crepe cocktail dress with jacket in two shades of gold. The dress flows freely from the gathering of the round, piped neckline. Ties on the upper back criss-cross the front in the Grecian style. The panels of the dress alternate shades of gold. The jacket is bolero-cut with cap sleeves and piped edges.
