- "This posed photo was taken at Walter French Junior High School gymnasium soon after it was opened in 1926. The boys and girls did not have gym together. They posed together for the picture." - Children seated at desks. East Park School was built in 1916 to replace a two-room school on Lesher Place on the east side of what was then called East Park. The park's name changed to Oak Park in 1926, and the school name changed then to go along.

- Children are sitting at desks. Some read from primer books and others are doing a craft. A teacher stands in the back helping students. There were 16 slides in a box labeled "Franklin-Larch." Nothing on the individual slides distinguishes which images were taken at which school. Franklin Avenue School was located at 1100 East Franklin Avenue (later Grand River Avenue). The Larch Street School was in the 100 block of North Larch Street.
