- Sepia-toned cabinet card depicting a snow-covered view of Woodward Avenue near Gratiot Avenue, plus two black and white 8" x 10" copies. A freestanding sign for J. Younghusband, Dental Rooms is in the foreground. A horse-drawn sleigh heads away along Woodward, while another, loaded with boxes, is stopped on the opposite side of the street, in front of the Godfrey Block. On that side of Woodward signs are posted for Wheeler and Wilson's Viewing Machinery, L.P. Durkee, William Bond Furniture, a Singer sewing machine store, J.M. Arnold and Co. Books and Stationery, Butterick's Patterns, Gibbs Books and Stationery, Gilmore, a dentist, a sewing notions store, Freedman and Bros. Dry Goods and Millinery, and the Weber Furniture Company Warehouse. Several pedestrians are also on the street. The bottom of the card is printed with "C.C. Randall, Randall Studio Building, Detroit, 106 Miami Ave." "Woodward Ave." has been added in pencil. Verso contains explanation of dating based on Randall's address in pencil.

Caption reads: WOODWARD AVENUE (east side), in 1899. F.J. Schwanovsky music house at John R. corner. D.D. Spellman photographic studio on second floor. Adjoining was Baron & McBean, mantels, grates and tiles. A.T. Knowlson's next. Also pictured are the storefronts for C.M. Hayes and Company, Photographers, and Jewel Gas Ranges and Gas Heaters. A horse-drawn sleigh and a horse carriage are in the street.

- Mounted black and white photograph taken of the ruins of Capitol High School following its fire on January 27, 1893, as viewed from an elevated positioned across Griswold Street to the southwest. Icicles hang from the building's facade and surrounding utility lines, and rubble has settled around its base. A ladder apparatus, and a fire engine are on Griswold, near the northeastern end of the building. Several figures dot the streets. The sign for the Griswold Street Theatre is visible on the right edge of the frame. A moonlight tower is visible down State Street on the left edge of the frame. The photo is mounted on a cardboard backing, with the following handwritten on the verso: Jan 27, 1893 Detroit Central High School Fire 18 Engine Companies in the Dept. Active 8 Ladder Companies " " 4 Chemical Companies

- Small sepia-toned photographic print incorrectly captioned on verso as "Cadillac Square, looking west, March 10th, 1918" which in fact depicts a street-level westward view from Campus Martius down Michigan Avenue. Snow covers the ground. The low light from a sunset silhouettes both the figures in coats and hats which approach the camera and the Majestic Building on the right, as well as creates a flare effect in the center of the image. A large sign, the visible portion reading, "Join... for" is posted on the Majestic Building on the right edge of the frame. City Hall, and the Recreation Building are in the background.
