The postcard shows an elevated view of Campus Martius and Woodward Avenue in the foreground with the Old City Hall and other downtown buildings in the background. Fort Street can be seen on the left side of the Old City Hall and a small corner of Michigan Avenue can be seen to the right. Beneath the picture, there is a colored pennant along with the words "We Are All Well at Detroit; Trust You Are the Same." The date of the postcard is based upon the postmark date.

- Sepia-toned photo mounted on a black cabinet card with gold trim bearing an image taken during the 1891 National Encampment of the Grand Army of the Republic in Detroit. In this photo, taken facing south on Woodward Avenue toward Congress Street, an arch decorated with a "Welcome" banner and American flags has been erected. Pedestrians, horse carriages, and horse-drawn streetcars are visible in the streets. On both sides of Woodward, signs for Mabley and Company are posted. The obelisk-topped arch at Jefferson and Woodward is visible in the background.

A large painting of him has been hung above the building's doors, and large dark drapes are hung along the building's front. A horse-drawn carriage, several cyclists, and many pedestrians are in the foreground. Electric streetcar lines are suspended overhead. Peninsular Savings Bank is visible in the background down Fort Street.

Signs read "Newell Gospel Services", "Queen Anne Soap", "Wilson Cafe", and "For Sale at reduced Prices Pardridge & Blackwell". Printed on verso: Woodward Avenue enjoys the unusual distinction of being both Detroit's leading business and residence street. It is named in honor of Judge Woodward, one of Detroit's foremost citizens in the pioneer days, and stretches approximately north and south. At its foot are the ferry docks where boats leave regularly for Windsor, Ont., Belle Isle and Bois Blanc Island. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Sep 15, 1908.

- Colorized halftone print of a photograph depicting the west side of Campus Martius, as viewed from an elevated position, likely from the Pontchartrain Hotel. The primary copy has bolder colors and is mounted on beige cardstock. The secondary copy has lighter colors, and includes the title, "'The Heart of Detroit' - Reproduced from Photograph," as well as the notation, " Jos. Mack, Printer, Detroit." Both versions include captions below labeling the Post Office, City Hall, Pardridge and Blackwell in the Majestic Building, the Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, Merrill Fountain, and the Opera House. A sign reading, "Welcome National Hay Association" is posted on the front of City Hall. The moonlight tower in front of City Hall on the corner of Woodward Avenue and Michigan Avenue is visible. Electric streetcars, horse-drawn carriages, and pedestrians are on the streets below. "1902-1903" handwritten on lower right corner of secondary copy, and "Fine Cigars and Tobacco, Confectionary, Soft Drinks, and School Supplies, Etc., 528 Dix Ave. Detroit, Mich." stamped on its verso.
