- Monochromatic glass plate negative taken immediately after the launch of the Pittsburgh Steamship Company freighter HARVARD on the grounds of the Detroit Ship Building Company, as taken from off of its port quarter. The freighter float in a slip, having just been side launched. A group of people stand on board the freighter near its stern. A group of spectators are in the foreground at the edge of the slip. Several other people watch from the scaffolding beside the slip.
