Envelope, pre-printed with the return address of Herbert L. Baker's Law Office, at 70 Griswold Street, addressed to James E. Scripps, Esquire, of 598 Trumbull Avenue. The envelope is canceled July, 23, 1886, and bears a brown George Washington 2¢ stamp. The envelope has been torn on three sides, and the inside has been used to record handwritten notes about the founding of the Dominican monks.
