Detroit Firemen's Fund Association membership certificate, designed by the Calvert Lithograph Company, and issued to J.W. Houghton, and dated July 13, 1912. The certificate is signed by the group's president T.O. Shea, treasurer B. Cronin, and secretary W.M. Burgess, and a red embossed Detroit Firemen's Fund Association seal has been stamped besides the signatures. A color illustration of firefighters using a ladder apparatus and of a pair of firefighters riding on a horse-drawn fire engine are on the left side of the document.
