Description:

One architectural drawing entitled "Alley Side Elevation," "Toledo Ave. Elevation," and "Cavalry Avenue Elevation." The drawing (Job 263) consists of black ink on linen and shows front and side elevation views of a proposed 2-story, 12-family apartment building that was designed for "Mr. Martin L. Holzhauser, Owner, Detroit, Michigan." The apartment building was to be located at the southeast corner of Toledo and Cavalry Avenues in Detroit. This drawing, shown at a scale of 1/4 inch = 1 foot, was part of a set of six sheets that were prepared by "J. Lawson Miller, Architect." A red ink stamp on the lower left edge of the sheet shows "Plans Examined and Approved, Nov. 26, 1915, Department of Buildings, City of Detroit, by H. C. Slater." Some green and blue pencil shading has been added on the verso to highlight various architectural details.
