Claire, Monroe and Randolph Sts., dates back to 1892, when it was built by the Brush estate. It is a modern hostelry in every way, and contains 102 rooms for guests. Handwritten message on verso reads, "Dear Mudder:- Arrived all O.K., and have had a lot of fun. Got a bit to eat + visited a moving picture show - the funniest ever. We didn't see 'Beanie'. Guess he didn't get my card. 'Nanno'" Postmarked Jul 4, 1908.
