A somewhat more detailed view in the wide valley, or across it. Patches of grain down the center of the view. Scattered palms. Hills and mountains beyond. There are the curious underground dwellings of the region about all over this view. On the top of the flat ridge coming down near the center of the view, may be seen the openings leading down to the central apartment of the dwellings -- sort of a rotunda. The dwellings are entered by a tunnel leading in and down from a point outside. Size, 9 1/2 x 27 in.; Photographs and prints; Paper
