Pedestrians cross the busy thoroughfare behind a north-bound street car in the foreground of the image; others also populate the sidewalks which neighbor the thoroughfare. Many businesses and commercial buildings are adjacent to the thoroughfare including, Gray and Worchester Drugs; C. Hopp and Company Photographers; Kuhn's; and the Ferguson Building. In the background is the Schwankovsky Temple of Music.
