Roundel Fragment; Karanis; Textiles; Linen; Wool

Notes:
Fragment of a woven wool roundel. Linen slit tapestry and purple wool were used to form a border around the edge. Weft-wrapping was used in the body of the roundel, but is very deteriorated and patterning is difficult to discern. There is a small linen slit tapestry element along one edge, which would have been within the body of the roundel. A small piece of yellowed plain weave background is present.
