Karanis; Textiles; Wool

Notes:
Two fragments of woven wool fabric that have been sewn together at right angles.; Fragment A - yellow warp and weft.; Fragment B - yellow warp and weft with a 0.2 cm wide (8 picks) purple weft band 3.5 cm from an edge with a twined border. A small piece (10 cm x 3 cm) of fragment B was re-attached with a seam at one edge.; A third, very deteriorated yellowed woven wool fabric, possibly part of fragment A, was sewn to fragment A using a curving row of stitches.
