Notes:

Childhood photograph of Thomas McAndrew (1852-1946), son of William and Dr. Helen Walker McAndrew, and Alice Rowley (1855-1944), born in Dundee area but orphaned and later adopted (by 1866) by the McAndrews. She and her adopted brother were later married and spent the rest of their lives together. Thomas was as an adult a partner and then proprietor of Mack & Mack Furniture, a longtime business on Michigan Avenue in Ypsilanti.
