Text analysis, Clemoes, Catholic Homilies, Homily I.03

Notes:
Aelfric's homily for the feast of Saint Stephen (Passio Beati Stephani Protomartiris; December 26) in the First Series of Catholic Homilies is an exegesis on and expansion of the biblical description of Stephen's martyrdom (Acts 6:8-10 and 7:54-60). Aelfric relied heavily on a sermon he thought the work of Augustine, now attributed to Caesarius of Arles.
