Knitted Sock Fragment; Karanis; Textiles; Wool
- Notes:
- Fragment of a brown needle knitted (cross loop knitting) sock with toes divided for a sandle thong. One complete toe section is present, next to it is a large hole. The complete toe section has six increases on top and bottom. At the opposite end, part of the edge may be finished. A small part next to the finished edge was knitted at right angles to the rest of the sock.
