“Grand Rapids National Bank, incomplete”. “Sky scraper National Bank”. The building construction is near completion, but an outside elevator and open work remain at the top of the building. The photo is taken from an elevated position across the street, looking east up Monroe and Pearl streets. St. Mark's Church can be seen at the far end of Pearl St., and part of the Hepolsheimers' building on Monroe.
