Fort Wayne and Elmwood Railway Company stock certificate number 216 for five shares issued to Henry Cohen on September 13, 1871. The certificate was printed by the Calvert Lithographing Company and includes an illustration of a horse-drawn streetcar traveling along a street, and the seal of the State of Michigan. The certificate is signed by the company's president Frederick Buhl, and its secretary James S. Stridiron. The certificate also has vertical handwriting signed by Stridiron canceling the stock dated December 10, 1873. The form includes a form filed in with the stock's details along the left side, and a form filled in with information about the stock's transfer to E.L. Hineman on the verso.
