This Molded Plywood Chair, in the collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, is known as "American's most favorite modern chair," according to the 1954 Herman Miller Trade Catalog. It has a molded plywood seat and back with a rosewood veneer. The frame, legs and glides are all metal.
