Armistice Day parade down Monroe Avenue near Division, Grand Rapids. The Grand Rapids Herald reported that large numbers of World War II veterans, including uniformed members of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and other service men's organizations, marched for the first time in an Armistice Day parade.
