Alvord of the Patent Office in Washington, D.C., to Richard Inglis of Detroit on May 23, 1863, and and a sketch of two halved cylinders with a parallel attached array of semi-circular pieces (perhaps a device for cutting pills). The telegram reads as follows: To Richard Inglis Det. May 23, 1863 By Telegram from Washington 23, 1863 You can get the body without much trouble- See adjutant Barns who has gone home. H. J.
