Writing after the death of print

- John Bresland, creative writing instructor at Northwestern University, delivers a talk entitled, "Writing After the Death of Print" describing a new form of non-fiction, the video essay, which blends language, image, and sound in equal parts. Bresland shows videos as examples of the genre, explains his creative process and his intent, and discusses "Dark Side of the Rainbow," a combination of "The Wizard of OZ" and music from Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon". Bresland answers questions from the audience. He is introduced by Michigan State University Professor of English Marcia Aldrich. Part of the MSU Libraries' Colloquia series, held at the Main Library.
