The view shows the two-lane pavement of Seven Mile Road with light poles along the right side of the road. Also on the right side, one man is riding a cutting machine that is being pulled by a team of horses. Four other men are cutting grass and brush with scythes. Tall trees can be seen along both sides of the road with farm fields to the right. Handwritten text on the verso shows "Cutting grass on 7 Mile Road, Wayne Co., Mich." and "Highway Systems, County Highways, Wayne Co., Mich., Road Construction, Maintenance."
