Mounted sepia-toned photographic print of the interior of Mrs. R.W. Allen's Hair Goods shop at 251 Woodward Avenue. Six women pose beside display cases containing combs and tins along the walls of the shop. Mirrors and advertisements for hair products are posted along the back wall. "June 1896, 251 Wood.," is handwritten along the bottom of the matting. "Mrs. R.W. Allen's Hair Goods, Detroit," is handwritten on the verso.
