The Third Street Station; the Fort Street Union Depot; Fort Street Presbyterian Church; the Federal Building and Post Office; the Jerome B. Rice Seed Company; A Krolik and Company; J.T. Wing and Company; the Majestic Building; the docks for the Detroit and Cleveland Navigation Company, and the Boblo Boats; Freeman, Delamater and Company; the Public Lighting Plant, Henkel's Flour, the Wayne County Building, Old St. Mary's Catholic Church, Saints Peter and Paul Jesuit Church, City Yard, and the Detroit Railroad Elevator Company are among the prominent landmarks. Several small excursion steamers are on the Detroit River. "Copyright 1901 Detroit Photographic Co." is printed in the lower right corner. The photo is mounted on beige cardstock.
