Marching band in circa 1939 American Legion sponsored Fourth of July Parade on Michigan Avenue, passing Bazley Market (in business at 203 West Michigan Avenue from 1932 to 1942), Avon Annex Restaurant (operated by Constantine Alex at 201 West Michigan Avenue from 1937 to 1940) and the National Bank at 133 West Michigan Avenue
