WSU Labor History Archives Buildings. A gift of $1,200,000 from the United Automobile Workers will make possible the construction of a labor history archives building at Wayne State University in honor of Walter P. Reuther’s 30 years service to the American Labor movement. The three story builing will be of limestone, pre-cast concrete and granite. It will be located near the University’s general library and is expected to cost $1,500,000. Dr. Phillip P. Mason is director of the labor history archives.
