Pocket-sized ledger book from the J.L. Hudson Company recording transactions made in for Spring 1895. The dates span January through June, and company names and dollar amounts are listed within. Records begin both at the beginning and end of the book, with the bulk of the central pages left blank. The ledger is bound with a black leather cover opening from the bottom. "J.L. Hudson, Detroit, Mich., Spring 1885," is printed on the front in gold. A cloth strip is threaded through the back cover.
