Raw Wool Smoking Jacket with Braided Frog Closure, 1926

Description:
Navy blue raw wool smoking jacket. The fabric is plain on one side and striped on the other, giving the jacket a lined effect. Accents include edging in black braid, a shawl collar, patch pockets with striped flaps and a black braided frog closure. This item was owned by Alfred Gaston Wilson (1883 – 1962), husband of Matilda Rausch Dodge (Wilson). Matilda was the widow of John Francis Dodge (October 25, 1864 – January 14, 1920), co-founder of the Dodge Motor Company.
