Notes:

Lamp of reddish clay with red slip or glaze. Semi-circular nozzle extends part way across rim and ends in straight line. Raised band set off by grooves between plain rim and plain discus. Small air hole in discus at base of nozzle. Moulded handle with two grooves on upper half. Flat circular reverse set off by single groove within which is incised faintly S ( ) IVCEE or USNCS.
