Muted turquoise crepe evening gown from the late 1930s or early 1940s

Description:
Woman's muted turquoise crepe evening gown having a straight undecorated skirt, fitted, dropped waist. The dress has a round, jewel neckline, cap sleeves (shoulder pads have been removed), and a bodice decorated with 1 1/2" x 3/4" beaded ovals in shades of pink, black, silver, and gold. Three lines of pink and silver beads edge the neck and sleeves. Side zipper. 6 1/2" wide gathered panel in back, starting from a 2 1/4" wide strip of machine shirring at the waist seam, suggests a bustle. Label: Florice, Washington Blvd., Detroit.
