Karanis; Textiles; Linen; Wool

Notes:

Fragment of woven wool fabric with plied linen warp and bands of various colors of wool weft. Most of the weft is various shades of brown (shaded stripes?), some is yellow (used paired) and there are a few picks of purple and red. There are very deteriorated remnants of linen weft-wrapping, too damaged to read the patterning. Wefts encircle intact parts of both edges which could be plain selvedges.
