Individual fragments are described under fabric structure.; Top layer:; 1 - yellow warp, blue/green, red and yellow weft 2 - yellow warp and purple weft; 3 - red warp/red weft (dye ran into warp which may have originally been yellow); 4 - green warp/green weft (dye ran out in places); 5 - brown warp/blue-purple weft (with selvedge); 6 - brown warp/purple weft (extremely worn); Fragments not listed on accession card (top layer); 7 - yellow warp/red-purple weft; 8 - blue-grey warp/brown-gold weft with blue tapestry; Bottom layer:; 1 - brown warp/brown weft; 2 - yellow warp/yellow weft; 3 - yellow warp/yellow weft (unattached fragment); Middle layers (difficult to see, not listed on accession card); 1 - light brown warp/light brown weft (very loosely woven); 2 - yellow warp/yellow weft; 3 - yellow warp/brown weft (with border); 4 - yellow warp/brown weft; 5 - brown warp/brown weft; 6 - brown warp/ brown weft; (rag amalgam)
