Carthage; Lamps; Clay (unfired); Slip

Notes:

Hard reddish clay with red slip shading to black in places. Long rounded nozzle with large wick-hole. End badly chipped. Broad channel leads to discus. Depressed rim with raised decoration, squares alternating with small birds. Six-pointed star in center of discus, two filling-holes, one on either side. Solid knob-like handle from which a ridge extends to the base ring.
