Detroit Rambler Club

Description:
Black and white print of 18 members of the "Detroit Rambler Club" posing behind their bicycles on the steps to the old post office in 1896 (as indicated on verso). A tandem bicycle is among the row of bikes. "Old P.O." is also written on verso, likely explaining why the post office's door is boarded-up with "Keep Out" painted next to a "No Admittance" sign, and one of its windows is broken. A white number is handwritten on each member and a key on the verso of the copy gives the identities of most of the club members. (See Notes tab.) "No. 6342" is also written on verso.
