- Invoice for $40 of goods bought from John B. Shefferly, "Importer and Dealer in Crockery, China, Glass & Silver Plated Ware" by John B. Wilson, dated December 8, 1866. Shefferly's location is listed as the corner of "Woodward Avenue and Campus Martius." A canceled two cent U.S. Internal Revenue Stamp is affixed near the lower left corner of the invoice.

- Description:
- Table d'hôte lunch menu card from the Russell House, dated Tuesday, January 7, 1902 with a tear-off postcard attached at the top. The card is printed on beige paper, with an image of the hotel's crest beside a small half-tone head-and-shoulders portrait photo of D.W.H. Moreland flanked by a color illustration of a man and woman standing beside opposite ends of a horse-drawn carriage, providing the face of the postcard. The menu is printed in green below. A small section at the bottom of the menu suggests "Amusements to-night" at nearby theaters. A production of "Miss Simplicity" starring Frank Daniels is listed at the Detroit Opera House. "The Little Minister," is at the Lyceum Theatre. Louise Gunning and vaudeville are featured at the Avenue Theatre. Frederick Hallen, Mollie Fuller, and vaudeville are listed as being at the New Wonderland theater. Mailing instructions, and space for addresses and stamps are provided on the verso.

- Second card of a six trade card set from the Michigan Stove Company advertising Garland Stoves and Ranges, entitled "Before & After Marriage In Five Acts," drawn by Cassius M. Coolidge and copyrighted by George M. Hayes. On the recto is an image of a man sitting in a chair and looking longingly at a picture of a woman he is holding in front of himself at eye level. In the lower left corner of the recto is an image of a woman in a pink blouse and tan skirt holding a book and reclining on a couch. The card's title, "I'm in Love," is printed in the bottom right corner of the recto. Printed on the verso is damaged advertising copy stating "To love is a very funny thing, it makes some laugh while others sing; Your feelings cannot be described, [...] thinking of your future bride. [...] a Garland [...] prove to be wise, [...] scotte" you'll be [...] all your lives."

- D.M. Ferry and Company receipt from a box of seeds, plus packages of late cabbage, kale, and kohlrabi seeds, totaling $43.20, sold to Mr. C. Schaaf of Augusta, Missouri on December 16, 1876. "On sale," is noted in a field marked "terms," and "Less comm[ission]," has been noted beneath the list of goods. The receipt is printed with a company header that includes an engraving of a woman in Native American costume standing with her hand on her chest above a woman who is kneeling while gathering grains with a sickle.

- One tax receipt, dated December 14, 1869, issued by the Wayne County Treasurer's Office in Detroit. It was printed in black text on white paper and indicated that Richmond & Backus Company paid $330.63 for county taxes on the "W [west] 24 ft., Lot 3, Sec. 1," as well as for "Merchandise," and the "E [east] 26 ft., Lot 3, Sec. 1." The receipt was signed by "Paul Gies, County Treasurer."
