Miller on Hull Brothers Company, Wholesale and Retail Grocers, stationery addressed "To whom it may concern!," signed, "Hull Brothers Co.," and dated April 26, 1895. The letterhead features an engraving of the Hall Brothers Company Building and Hull's Annex located on the corner of Gratiot Avenue and Farmer Street. The letter reads: Detroit, Mich. April 26, 1895 To whom it may concern! This is to certify that the bearer hereof Mrs. W. Miller was in the employ of Hull Brothers for two years. - Table d'hôte lunch menu card from the Russell House, dated Tuesday, January 7, 1902 with a tear-off postcard attached at the top. The card is printed on beige paper, with an image of the hotel's crest beside a small half-tone head-and-shoulders portrait photo of D.W.H. Moreland flanked by a color illustration of a man and woman standing beside opposite ends of a horse-drawn carriage, providing the face of the postcard. The menu is printed in green below. A small section at the bottom of the menu suggests "Amusements to-night" at nearby theaters. A production of "Miss Simplicity" starring Frank Daniels is listed at the Detroit Opera House. "The Little Minister," is at the Lyceum Theatre. Louise Gunning and vaudeville are featured at the Avenue Theatre. Frederick Hallen, Mollie Fuller, and vaudeville are listed as being at the New Wonderland theater. Mailing instructions, and space for addresses and stamps are provided on the verso.

Coolidge and copyrighted by George M. Hayes. On the recto is an image of a man sitting in a chair and looking longingly at a picture of a woman he is holding in front of himself at eye level. In the lower left corner of the recto is an image of a woman in a pink blouse and tan skirt holding a book and reclining on a couch. The card's title, "I'm in Love," is printed in the bottom right corner of the recto. Printed on the verso is damaged advertising copy stating "To love is a very funny thing, it makes some laugh while others sing; Your feelings cannot be described, [...] thinking of your future bride. [...] a Garland [...] prove to be wise, [...] scotte" you'll be [...] all your lives."

The receipt is printed with a company header that includes an engraving of a woman in Native American costume standing with her hand on her chest above a woman who is kneeling while gathering grains with a sickle.

- A letter from Ralph Emery, a clerk working for the Detroit Stove Works, to his father, Robert T. Emery, in Belfast, Maine, dated July 22, 1888. The letter is written on Detroit Stove Works letterhead, which features a lithograph, credited to the Calvert Lithograph Company, depicting the Detroit Stove Works offices in Detroit and Chicago as well as the company's foundry in Hamtramck, Michigan. The letter reads: My dear Father, Have not written you for some days for have been so busy have not had time. Worked a number of nights last week + Sunday worked all day + all night so have been a little broken up - but will be all right in a few days. We are very busy in many ways, more so than usual + expect to be for some time. Will Morison telegraphed he would be in Detroit Wednesday night but train was five hours late. Thursday took him about the City, Enjoyed his stay very much - He was delighted with Detroit. He left for Chicago at 10 o'clock. Tonight is the Michigan Club Banquet + will probably have a lending to from Gov. Alger for President. Hope he will get the nomination, he could make a fine President. Has a perfectly clean record, made an unusually good Governor, is one of the best business men in the Country. Don't suppose there is much new in Belfast. Have not heard from there for sometime. Hope you will write when you find time. See by papers Mr. + Mrs. Hazeltine + Mrs. White have gone to Jacksonville - Give my regards to all - you'll have to close as have not time to write more at present. Your affec. son, Ralph Emery

The front cover reads "Detroit Stove Works Price List; Feb 1., 1994; Jewel Stoves; Offices and Salesrooms 32 and 34 Woodward Avenue; Foundry and Warehouse at Hamtramck." The catalog's printing is attributed to William Graham of Detroit, Michigan. Contained within it are prices, images, measurements and advertising information for Jewel Stoves and Ranges, as well as accessories for them, from 1884. On the back cover is an image of a "Brilliant Jewel Base Burner" model stove.

A handwritten endorsement on the verso indicated that the note was assigned to Rev. George Worthington.
