- Black and white photograph copy of the north side of east bound Cadillac Square between Bates and Woodward Avenue. Adjacent to the avenue are several businesses, Lafer Brothers Groceries, Marx Market Company, and the Central Meat Market. Automobiles are parked along the thoroughfare; pedestrians are visible walking the sidewalks and crossing the street. Faintly written on the right side of the recto, "Cadillac Sq. 1913." Also, typed on the verso, "Cadillac Square, north side between Bates and Woodward, about 1910."

- Two photographic prints mounted to opposite sides of the same oval-shaped board. Recto bears a sepia-toned photo of City Hall Market, an open-air marked filled with booths, horses, and carts set up behind the City Hall that was in service until 1872, in the present site of Cadillac Square. A sign for "Provisions" is visible along the storefronts on the left side of the picture. A man, three children, a dog, and a horse and a cart are in the middle ground. A woman with a parasol, and a fence or railing that reads, "Hanging 102" is in the foreground. Verso bears a hand-colorized portrait of a seated woman in a purple dress, with white sleeves and a collar. Her hair is pulled back into a chignon and she wears a cross around her neck.

- Mounted, sepia-toned photographic print entitled, "Old City Hall, A.D. 1868." Detroit's City Hall which stood at Campus Martius, on Michigan Grand Avenue (now Cadillac Square) is depicted as viewed from Campus Martius facing southeast. Several people stand in front of the building, while several other people sit in the shade on the building's north side. Stalls used for the Central or City Hall Market are visible behind the building. In the background, along Michigan Grand, signs are posted for U.S. Tobacco Works, R.G. Tyler Teas, National Bitter, H.H. Wallace, Ira Shade, Hiram Stanskil, and S.H. Davis and Company. The photo has a rounded top and is mounted to a piece of yellowed cardstock bearing the title and "J. Watson, Artist, Detroit" below.
